The May 17, 2025 dedication ceremony for the historical marker highlighting Judge John Paul Jr.’s order enforcing the Brown v. Board of Education decision in Virginia and the various legal initiatives to end Massive Resistance was a splendid success. The attached program for the ceremony highlights the various speakers who offered valuable perspective and insight into the sacrifices of the plaintiffs, lawyers, and communities that demonstrated resilience against Massive Resistance. Notably, Lindsay Brubaker, a former law partner at BotkinRose who now is Executive Counsel at Bridgewater College, opened the ceremony and introduced Chief Judge Elizabeth Dillion. We offer our appreciation to Lindsay and to Bridgewater College for their support for such an important and meaningful event.
