Lindsay C. Brubaker

Lindsay Brubaker practices in several areas, including civil and commercial litigation, education law, family law, and corporate and business planning.  Her practice includes general litigation and contract disputes, as well as providing counsel to businesses on a variety of matters, such as entity formation, transactions, creditor's rights, and related tax issues.

Ms. Brubaker also represents clients in family matters, such as drafting pre-marital and separation agreements, and divorce and custody matters.  The diversity of her practice, including her prior service as a trusted, court-appointed Guardian ad litem in representing the interests of children, enables her to provide wide-ranging legal counsel to educational institutions.  She works closely with Mr. Guynn in handling special education law matters and in defending school boards and their senior management teams in claims involving alleged sexual misconduct and boundary violations by teachers or other professionals in their relationship with students, building on Mr. Guynn’s work for the Virginia School Boards Association (VSBA Presentation:   Protecting Against Sexual Misconduct).
